Due to continued extreme weather conditions, Northern Illinois University’s main DeKalb campus and satellite locations will remain closed Tuesday, Jan. 7. Only personnel associated with essential services and operations will be required to report per established procedures.
All NIU campus locations are scheduled to re-open at 8 a.m. Wednesday, January 8.
During winter months, all students, faculty and staff are urged to use caution and personal judgment in their travels to and from campus and to dress appropriately for protection from cold temperatures and wind chills.
The NIU website will be updated as necessary to provide the latest information in the event of a change in the university’s operational status.
