The DeKalb Festival Chorus will perform its spring concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 5, in the NIU Music Building’s Boutell Memorial Concert Hall.
A pre-concert lecture will take place at 2:30 p.m.
Sunday’s concert centers on Joseph Haydn’s late masterpiece, the Lord Nelson Mass. It will feature a chamber orchestra and four great soloists whose national careers include the Chicago Lyric Opera, Lyric Opera Cleveland and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
The vocal soloists will open the concert with a selection of areas and concert numbers.
