NIU’s Operating Staff Council is looking to fill six vacancies, all for three-year terms.
Eligible candidates are employees in status positions with permission from their supervisors and willingness to serve approximately five hours each month for monthly meeting and subcommittee participation.
The council’s role is to promote the general welfare of Operating Staff employees through action in a communicative and advisory capacity to the NIU administration as well as any other applicable group, agency or individual. It functions as a source of direction, information and two-way communication for the Operating Staff.
Council members meet at 9 a.m. on the first Thursday of every month, 12 months a year.
