College of Law’s ‘NIjUdicata’ 5K set April 20

April 9, 2013

NIU College of Law 5K run/walkWith spring coming sooner than most Midwesterners think, the NIU College of Law wants everyone to dust off their running shoes, stretch those legs and get ready to hit the road.

Race NIjUdicata, the law school’s fourth annual 5K run/walk, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20, outside the college’s Swen Parson Hall home.

Inspired by Dean Jennifer Rosato, an avid runner in her own right, runners, volunteers and sponsors are needed for this new  tradition. Prizes will be awarded in several categories, and all proceeds go toward College of Law Development.

And at race’s end, all are welcome to enjoy a barbecue lunch.

Registration

  • Adults: $25 ($30 after Friday, April 12)
  • Full-time NIU students: $20 ($25 after Friday, April 12)
  • Teams of five or more: $20 ($25 after Friday, April 12)
  • Children ages 5 to 12: $10

Cost of the barbecue lunch is included in the cost.

Registration is available online. All adults (including team members) must complete their own individual registration forms. Adults can, however, include up to three children on their online registration form. If registering as part of a team, be sure to include the team name. All online registrants must fill out a medical release form and bring it to check-in.

Check-in and packet pick-up takes place from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Friday, April 19, in the Marshall Gallery of the College of Law or from 8 to 9:40 a.m. Saturday, April, the day of the race.
