“We are hearing that many NIU students say that they eat fish on Friday. We are seeing a lot of area restaurants, organizations and stores offering seafood on Friday, so we want to offer that to our students as well,” said Richard Fritz, director of Residential Dining.

“All the students who attended said they were going to tell friends about this great meal,” Fritz added. “We are hoping to extend this next semester if we have success this semester.”

The menu choices rotate to allow students a new selection each week. Items include fried or baked cod, catfish, tilapia, crab cakes, calamari and a wide range of desserts.

Dinner costs $7.50 per person. It is open to all NIU students, including those from other residence halls and those who live off-campus. The only acceptable forms of payments are NIU meal plans or Huskie Bucks, however.
