Registration is open at the NIU Community School of the Arts.
Programming in fall includes classes and ensembles, as well as traditional and Suzuki music lessons.
NIU staff and students receive free tuition for a popular art class that meets for six Saturdays, beginning Sept. 22. Another art class is Creating Comics, taught on Thursdays beginning Sept. 20.
Music ensembles in fall include a full orchestra for high school students, a junior string orchestra, a jazz band for high school students, a children’s choir and ensembles in steel pan, ukulele and guitar for adults and children.
Music classes for young children are Prelude and Development for ages 1 to 5 and Piano Starter for ages 5 to 7.
