Student Involvement & Leadership Development is currently looking for volunteers to assist with staffing Huskies Helping Huskies (HHH) stations Monday, Aug. 27, and Tuesday, Aug., 28.
HHH provides an excellent avenue for interacting with students and networking with others from across the university – not to mention drinking in the excitement that comes along with the first week of a new academic year.
Volunteering for HHH is a great way to get to know the campus, meet others from across the university and, most importantly, interact with students in a unique way.
HHH stations will be set up at the MLK Commons, Wirtz Hall, Graham Hall, just north of Chick Evans Field House and on the main level of DuSable Hall. Volunteers will assist students with questions such as where their class is located, where to go for advisement or how to find the nearest computer lab.
Each station will have campus maps, a phone book, bus schedules and course information.
Time slots are for one hour, starting every 30 minutes (8 to 9 a.m., 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., etc.), beginning at 8 a.m. and ending at 3:30 p.m. Participants are welcome to sign up for a two-hour shift if their schedules allow.
