Heat moves tonight’s free KSO concert inside

Photo of a thermometer registering 102 degrees FahrenheitBecause of this week’s excessive heat, the Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s Concert in the Park will be performed indoors tonight at the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall of the NIU Music Building.

The free concert begins at 8 p.m., and the auditorium is accessible to all. Signs have been modified at Hopkins Park to alert and direct patrons to the campus venue.

Orchestra members will play a variety of light classical, Broadway and Hollywood silver screen elections. All are invited for a romantic evening or to bring the family for a fun and exciting concert of popular music.

Season tickets for the 2011-2012 concert season will be available at the event.

Season ticket prices are $50 for adults, $35 for seniors, $35 for students and $18 for children younger than 12.
