Students invited Thursday to learn more about several study abroad opportunities in Ireland

An informational meeting about study abroad opportunities in Ireland is scheduled for 4 to 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, in Watson Hall 323.

NIU undergraduate and graduate credit is available in communication and English; undergraduate credit is available in history.

Students can study at Dublin City University and examine Ireland’s role in international culture via Irish politics, history, literature and media. They will attend lectures and question-and-answer sessions by eminent Irish scholars, authors and prominent Irish film and television directors.

The trip also will include visits to Dublin historical locations such as the Abbey Theatre, Glendalough monastic site, Kilmainham Gaol, Trinity College’s “Long Room” and to a film festival.
