NIU, PSE, Bosch establish partnership

November 2, 2010

PowerBox 360Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE) and Bosch Power Tools have established a partnership which will allow students the opportunity to gain valuable real-world exposure to marketing practices.

Members of the NIU College of Business Chapter of PSE will work with Bosch, a global market leader, on creating new markets for industrial technology products while learning how to manage brand awareness of a multi-million dollar organization.

PSE faculty advisor Dr. Mark Rosenbaum, a Fulbright Scholar and assistant professor in the college’s Department of Marketing, will oversee the partnership.

“The Bosch opportunity is clearly a win-win situation for PSE, the College of Business, and Bosch,” Rosenbaum said. “Students will acquire valuable experience regarding brand promotion and the opportunity to possibly secure internships at Bosch.”

Currently, PSE and Bosch are promoting the PowerBox 360, a jobsite boom box which delivers 360-degree sound, at NIU football games.

“We look forward to promoting the PowerBox 360 at the NIU football games,” Rosenbaum said. “It is like being on Trump’s Apprentice Show!”

PSE is recognized as the only national, professional, co-educational fraternity in marketing, sales management, and selling. Bosch is a leading global supplier of automotive, consumer goods and building, and industrial technology and services.
